Trump Supporters: QAnon and Russia
Most Trump supporters don’t believe that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. Notwithstanding, the CIA, FBI, and the NSA thoroughly documented and repeatedly affirmed that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election to help Trump win the election. This fact was also documented in the Mueller Report. Then, in 2020, the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee investigated and released a bi-partisan report that confirmed Russia’s 2016 election interference to help Trump win the election. Strangely, legions of Trump supporters believe in QAnon, a ludicrous and deranged conspiracy theory that claims Democratic elites and other government officials are part of a satanic and pedophilia network that constitutes a “deep state” working against Trump, who will one day triumph over his enemies like a superhero. QAnon, spewed anonymously through online platforms, is entirely baseless as it is sickening. Yet, Trump supporters refuse to believe the thoroughly documented and proven episode of Russian interference in the 2016 election. Truly bonkers.
